Dandelion Child

Kidnapped! A stolen child's future depends upon one man's perseverance.

In 1977, Marie Ann Watson vanished during a custody battle for her two children. They were left behind with the foster parents who had been fighting with her. Dandelion Child is a book containing the untold story of what happened to her and what happened to her daughter. It is an enduring story of what one man's perseverance in the face of impossible odds can do.

What is Dandelion Child about?

Dandelion Child is a terrible, awful, horrible book. I remember watching as my mother was dismembered. Her murderers didn't know I was there, so they did nothing to hide their treatment of her as a mere animal. She was literally butchered.

For my part, I lived every day of those long four years being tortured. From age 3 to age 7, I suffered at the hands of the people who killed my mother when I was 6 years old.

In Dandelion Child, I have chosen to have two portions of the story. I have told my story to the best of my ability and as accurately as I can recall. I have left little out, although most incident in the book are simply a representation of repeating themes, actions, and behaviors. I was tortured many times in similar ways, and rather than try to list out 7 years of incidents, I obviously condensed them into representative incidents.

The other side of the story is the Private Investigator who chased the Rogerses down and ultimately rescued me. His part of the story is highly dramatized because it also had to be condensed. Perhaps one day he will be able to tell the full, true horror of his side of the story in full. It is truly fascinating and terrifying in its own right.

Below, you will find a form to sign up for emails. I won't be sending out much except updates on my progress and, of course, notice for when the book is released. Those who have signed up will be invited to join a virtual release party.

Also, you will findarticles, news clippings, and other information about my mother's case.
